Little Fish Comics in Fredricksburg, Virginia is a small comic book store with a large selection of good and bad (cough Captain America number one cough) comics. We visited in May 2016 for Free Comic Book Day.

The shop hosted a great Free Comic Book Day celebration on the first Saturday in May, in which you get not one but TWO FREE COMIC BOOKS per person. We got there on a warm Saturday afternoon a full half hour before our movie started and were greeted by cosplay, comics, and all around coolness. The people at Little Fish were nice and were willing to help anyone in need of help choosing a comic.

My dad and brother quickly gave their choices of free comic books to me and went off to talk to a Storm Trooper. All total, I came home with about 8 or 9 comics – I got an extra two comics from donating to the store in addition to the free comics, and I bought a couple as well. One of the comics was a The Tick comic, which I enjoyed to the nth degree.

I also got a tiny keychain Funko Pop figure of Castiel from Supernatural, and my dad got another giant Tick book ( I say book because it’s a compilation of lots of The Tick comics in one book (that one was our second one)). We paid, said goodbye to Nurse Joy, and went to see Captain America Civil War – LOVED IT! What a great day.
